Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

I want to personally welcome you to Truth In Life Ministries International.  We are so pleased to be able to share with you through this Ministry, and to show you what God is doing here, and what He has in-store for you. God is calling everyone unto Him and some even unto special ministries. Pastor Tom has now been called as an Evangelist. And as we are in these last days it is so important we seek God's face ALL THE TIME, and not look back or away. May Gods blessings be upon ALL of you.

We have some exciting news to share, as  Pastor Tom has now put out three books, THE TIMES OF THE END and also GLORY BE TO GOD THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT and now FAMILY AND WORLD FULL OF SELF AND GREED WHERE DOES "GOD" FIT. And with his wife Nancy have returned from the HOLY LAND, she has produced a DVD of the trip as will. We praise God for ALL the opportunities that He has given us to witness HIS Name and Glory. Our God is so good. We trust this site will also be a blessing to you as well.

Just what does GOD desire for this year of 2012 and where are these desires directed to? First they are directed to the Body of Christ the Church which includes ALL the leaders thereof. GOD is saying: "REPENT REPENT on your knees and REPENT now and put your Focus on ME THE LORD THY GOD and PRODUCE and do more for MY GLORY and Honor the gifts of The Spirit in which I havegiven unto you and use these for MY GLORY." Yes we need to wake up and simile the coffee and start serving God and doing His desires not ours before it becomes to late, and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us in the likeness of Christ. Check out A YEAR OF GOD'S FAVOR on our "news and events page."

Here is the message for February 2012.

MARRIAGE AS LIKENED UNTO CHRIST

Marriage is an unconditional, lifetime commitment.                          Ephesians 5:22-33

                        Other Scripture:             1 Corinthians 7:1-6, &    Deuteronomy 24:1-2

The Bible says that a marriage is a monogamous relationship where a man & a woman share a life time commitment to each other, second only to their commitment to God. Jesus emphasized God’s intention that marriage be a lifetime commitment just as with The relationship of Christ to His church is illustrated by that of a husband to the wife. Christ is called the bridegroom, & His church is called the bride. Christ loved the church & gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify, cleanse. & glorify it. God has Ordained that a man (husband) & a woman (wife) so come together in marriage they become one. During this portion of Ephesians 5 we will see how God relates this to that of the Church. Here we see that the wife is to submit unto her husband, but the key point here is to how she is to submit unto her husband. She is to submit as unto the Lord. So when the wife yields her will to that of her husband, she yields to the Lord – provided the husbands directions are “in the fear of God” or in line with God’s will. Therefore as Christ is the divinely appointed head or authority over His church, in the same way the husband is the divinely appointed “head” or authority of his wife. So therefore the husband is to protect his wife as Christ does His church. In both cases the responsibility to protect is inseparably linked with the responsibility to provide spiritual leadership. So the extent of the wife’s submission to her husband is in everything, & again “in everything” is limited only to those directives of the husband that are “in the fear of God” again that is those conforming to God’s will. Now husbands pay attention. The marital responsibility of husbands is to love your wife’s. The Greek word “love” is agapao, which is the willing sacrificial giving on the husband’s part for the benefit of his wife, without thought of return. As Christ gave Himself for the church so shall the husband be willing to do for his wife, including laying down his life. Now the assertion that the husband who loves his wife loves himself is substantiated by Paul’s reasoning. As the church is a part of Jesus’ body so is the wife a part of her husband’s body. Thus when the husband loves her, he loves himself. As a man who cares for his body benefits himself, so the husband who loves his wife brings much profit to himself. “LEAVE THY FATHER AND MOTHER.” A husband & wife have a better chance for successful marriage if there is some independence – physically, emotionally, & financially – from parents & in-laws. Illustration: In The Old Testament, several brides are typical of the church, including Eve (Gen 2:23, 24) Rebekah (Gen 24:1-7), Asenath (Gen41:45) & Zipporah (Ex 2:21). Application: As wives should be submissive to & reverence their husbands, so Christians should submit to and worship Christ. So again the biblical ideal is marriage that last a lifetime as likened unto that of Christ and His Church. However Christians must sometimes cope with the breakup of a marriage. Marriages do fail because we do not live up to the high standers of God. Divorce poses a real dilemma for Christians because of the strong emphasis on marriage as a lifetime commitment. The Mosaic Law allowed a man to divorce his wife, & this writ of divorce was evidence of her release form the marriage & her freedom to marry someone else. Jesus explained Deuteronomy 24:1 as a concession to the hardness of our hearts; but emphasized God’s original intention. Now in closing we must ALL be placing God as first in our lives even before our spouse, & MUST always be in His will. Husband & wife MUST become one & make their marriage commitment one that is lifelong. Remember as the wife was to respond with commitment & loyalty. Her submission was not subordination but a wholehearted response to her husband’s love. This also is the way we need to respond with commitment & loyalty to God. Where is your commitment in your marriage? Where is your commitment to God?

                                                           LET US PRAY

Softly & tenderly Jesus is calling, calling for you & me to come home. Will you come home before it's to late?
